ACCOMDEMY

In support of education, Realtek has always cared deeply about promoting knowledge effectively while increasing ingenuity and resource sharing. It has always been one of our goals to use new methods and entering new technological fields in order to accelerate broad-based knowledge and shared innovation gains around the world. Realtek searched for a solution, pouring resources into building technology-based knowledge sharing platforms. These efforts were carried out jointly by the technology, start-up, and education sectors, leading to the establishment of the selflearning organization ‘Accomdemy’. The objective is for makers from around the world to be able to join this social group to freely initiate the topics they want to learn or jointly build technology R&D projects that interest them. The exchanging of ideas with partners in this social group leads to joint innovation and inspiration, as well as the sharing of knowledge and creative achievements.

Based on the foundation built by makers through the power of passion and spontaneity, we hope to attract more partners from a wide range of industries to join. As these new participants contribute more resources, more impactful synergies will emerge, leading even more makers from all over the world to join. This will give rise to the introduction of more learning topics and R&D projects, further facilitating the development of this technology-based knowledge sharing platform. People who are passionate about technological R&D and who want to learn about innovation and the creation of new things, will now be able to find the professional resources and R&D project partners they have always wished for on ‘Accomdemy’.

In 2022, Realtek and Accomdemy jointly offered a parent-child learning program, “Parent-Child Learning with IoT Robotic Arm Hackathon”, which allowed employees and their children to work together to learn and explore knowledge. Realtek’s Ameba BW16 development board was connected to the development tools to control the robot arm. The interactive and participatory activities were designed to share technology knowledge with employees’ children while enhancing their parent-child relationships. The hands-on experience for adults and children would provide enriching learning results and unforgettable memories. In addition, Accomdemy also completed various technology innovation and knowledge sharing projects in 2022, such as how to make an own CPU within the ten-week challenge, making a self-propelled car using Realtek’s Ameba BW16 development board that was successfully exhibited at the “Makers’ Carnival” in Hsinchu, making a MeArm robotic arm using Realtek’s Ameba BW16 development board, and other innovative and creative inventions. During the process, we exchanged with international makers and manufacturers to derive offline learning activities.

We allocate resources to encourage inventors from all over the world to bravely present their own ideas and questions. Through the collaboration of experts on the platform, we can brainstorm together, combining technology and creativity to achieve our own innovative inventions. In the future, Realtek will invest resources to turn Accomdemy into a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) managed and operated social enterprise. It is expected that more than 60 influential co-creation projects will be produced in 2023, which would likely to attract even more people to join and promote the development of makers’ communities around the world. Realtek will continue to actively promote development and co-creation of projects for maker communities around the world, making the sharing of knowledge and learning opportunities borderless. With popularized educational learning and technological knowledge, we drive energy from joint participation, ensuring everyone with a desire to learn can feel the warmth of knowledge sharing.
